Press Release – 20/12/2016
Mounties RLFC / Emu Plains JRLFC Supporting Partnership In another historic step in the support of grass roots rugby league Mounties RLFC and Emu Plains JRLFC have entered into a supporting arrangement for the 2017 season which will see players from Mounties turn out for the foot of the mountains club in what is seen as an initial step in the breaking down of borders between the Parramatta and Penrith JRL districts. Mounties, having fielded strong teams in the NSWRL administered Sydney Shield, Ron Massey Cup and Intrust Super Premiership competitions for the past 10 seasons have entered into an agreement with Emu Plains to send players not required for their senior teams on a given weekend to the Emu Plains club to compete in the burgeoning Penrith A Grade competition. Seeing the need to have players at the ready and with Emu Plains shaping up as a strong title contender in 2017, the clubs sought each other out to discuss the possibility of entering into a supporting agreement and after lengthy discussions which included the NSWRL, Penrith and Parramatta Junior Rugby League districts an agreement has been reached and will come into effect for the coming season. Both clubs are excited about the prospects the arrangement will bring and Mounties looks forward to the 2017 season and this new venture. -ENDS -

We have now had FIVE registration days and have registered close to 300 kids. Some teams are now full based on registration numbers and spaces can no longer be guaranteed in those sides. Stand by for full age group announcement later tonight.
If you have registered online and are still yet to pick up your shorts and socks at one of the FIVE times we were handing them out, we will have the bottom shed open on 1st and 2nd April for FINAL pick up. There will only be a small window of opportunity to pick up shorts and socks at trial matches as the committee will be running BBQs, coaching teams, managing teams, ground managing and working at their 'real jobs'. Do not expect to be able to pick up shorts and socks at trials. You may have to wait until the 1st or 2nd April to pick them up. If you have any questions about registration or shorts/socks pick up please don't hesitate to contact Megan on 0423 512 848 All new and returning Sunday players are welcome to register on Tuesday night at the bottom shed at Leonay Oval. Please contact Megan or Grant if you have any queries.
If you or your child played with Emu Plains JRLFC in 2012 and are playing with our Under 6 through to Under 17 teams in 2013, you can register online to play in 2013 right now at http://bit.ly/emurego. We are encouraging all existing players and parents to register online. You can pay via Mastercard or Visa and pick up your free shorts and socks in February when the clothing store opens. If you don't want to register online you are of course, welcome to register at one of the normal registration days. All new players to Emu Plains JRLFC in 2013 will need to attend either our New Dimensions (9th February) or Leonay Oval (23rd February) registration days with their original birth certificate and a copy along with a passport photo. For the first time, Emu Plains JRLFC will run an Open Day on 23rd February from 10am-2pm. Even if you register online, all players are welcome at Leonay Oval where there will be skills stations for Mini and Mod players. Players who complete all the stations will receive a small prize. Please encourage anyone you know who might be interested in playing at Emu Plains in 2013 to attend this day of fun and footy. If you have any problems registering online do not hesitate to contact Megan at [email protected] or on 0423 512 848. We have included a 4-page how-to-guide at the bottom of this post on how to register your children online. |
