This weekend is beyond insane with games being played at Leonay Oval on Saturday and Sunday as well as our 2nd Night on the Fields on Saturday night. It's going to be busy but fun!
Congratulations to Daniel Brackenrig (U12s), Jack Dennis (U13s), Alexander Myles (U14s), Dean Kammel (U14s), Liam Harris (U15s) and Christopher Vineburg (U15s) on making the CUBs Merit Teams.
The Panthers ask that the players listed above make contact with Breeghan Paluch at the Panthers football office on 4725 6401 during business hours to accept your position in the next part of our development program. We ask that this be done no later than Wednesday the 13th of March (this Wednesday) as we have scheduled a game vs Newcastle for Saturday the 16th of March to be held at Quakers Hill (4:30 kick off). To prepare for this game the Under 15’s squad will be training this Thursday evening (14th March) at St Dominic’s at Penrith with the session starting at 6:00pm. Boys are asked to be at training by 5:45pm so team managers can gather player details and hand out information sheets regarding the game. All players will be required to train in their CUBS training shirt and their junior league shorts and socks. Full playing kit will be supplied on the Saturday to play in. At Thursday’s training session players will be provided with information regarding medical coverage for players involved in the program and it must be stressed to all parents that this form must be signed, dated and returned to the program manager at the weekend’s game. It must be stressed that players will be unable to participate in the Newcastle game unless this form is presented on the day. Apologies for the delay in communication. I have chased up coaches of the firsts team who are in control of entire age groups and the following teams are training today at the following locations:
U6s - Leonay Oval top field at 6pm - this field is mostly dry and training will be contained to the dry areas. ALL Under 6s will train at the top field at Leonay. U9s - Regatta Park at 6pm U11s - Weir Reserve (near the Rowing Club) at 5:30pm U12s - Leonay Oval near the discuss at 6:30pm U13s - Leonay Oval near the long jump at 6:30pm U14s - Regatta Park at 6:30pm U15s - Weir Reserve, opposite the Rowing Club entrance at 6pm Under no circumstance should any team train at Hunter Fields - council grants permission to sporting clubs to use particular fields. Emu Plains JRLFC does not have permission to use Hunter Fields. Please do not hesitate to contact Pete Foster on 0408 975 927 if you have any queries The site fence for our new amenities block went up today. Stage 1 of our club house has begun! It's been a long time in the making and we would like to thank everyone involved with the process, from the original grant through to the leg work with council over these past few months. You are all amazing. The women of Emu thank you especially! We will have toilets up the top!
